WCH 2018 W: China beat Netherlands to determine the semifinal pairs!

In the semifinals of the women’s World Championship, China will meet Italy, while Serbia will play against the Netherlands.

It was a game for the first place and the Chinese girls took the opportunity to win it and to avoid a game against Serbia in the semifinals. Even though Lang Ping’s side was down by one, they didn’t want to surrender, playing at the high level in the second set, destroying the rival 25-13!

In the other two sets, China set the control and won the game and the first place of Pool H.

Lonneke Sloetjes was again the top scorer of the game with 28 points, while Zhu Ting had 19 on the other side. Her teammate Xinuye Yuan added 16.

The third stage, Pool H:

Netherlands – China 1-3 (25-23, 13-25, 18-25, 17-25)

Second game:

Netherlands – USA 3-2 (30-32, 15-25, 25-22, 25-15, 15-9)

First game:

China – USA  3-2 (25-22, 19-25, 20-25, 25-23, 15-9)

 

Recall that the Dutch team defeated and dethroned the USA!
