The second-seed Petron made a brilliant display against top-seed in the Regular Season, F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-16) to win Game 1 of the Grand Prix best-of-three playoff finals at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Petron was led by U.S. duo Lindsay Stalzer and Hillary Hurley who both delivered 20 points. The Venezuelan international María José Pérez made 15 points for F2 Logistics to be the only double-digit player in her team.

Petron will chase their first national title since 2014 on Thursday, December 14. In case of a tie, Game 3 will be played on December 16 with Filoil Flying V Centre hosting an entire final series.
