Two of the last four 2nd leg encounters of the 2018 CEV Men’s Volleyball Champions League Qualifications – 3rd Round have brought an immense excitement as they went into Golden Set.

The Finnish titleholders Ford Store Levoranta Sastamala (ex-VaLePa Sastamala) nearly spoiled an excellent impression from the 1st leg against the Czech side Jihostroj České Budějovice when they ran over the rivals in straight sets. But, in the rematch on the road, VaLePa suffered a 3-1 defeat and had to fight for the place in the pool stage of the Champions League in the Golden Set. Luckily for them, they took it by a 15-12. Urpo Sivula scored 17 points for VaLePa while Filip Křesťan made 27 for České Budějovice.

Just like VaLepa, the Serbian champions Vojvodina NS Seme Novi Sad also dropped a 3-0 win against Spacer’s Toulouse VB from the 1st leg but unlike the Finnish side, their fate was sealed in the Golden Set, 15-10. The Spaniard Andrés Villena was unstoppable in the squad of the French team with 33 points, pushing it to the pool stage. Božidar Vučićević notched 15 points for Vojvodina.

An Italian giants Sir Safety Conad Perugia (Aaron Russell 13 points) and the Polish bronze medalists Jastrzębski Węgiel (Damian Boruch 11 points) swept their rivals Shakhtior Soligorsk from Belarus and Omonia Nicosia from Cyprus in the rematch, upgrading confident 1st leg victories, and advanced to the pool stage.

TUR M: Konarski – „Watching PlusLiga games now, I think this season would be tiring for me“

Also has something about his paycheck. He has to accept the 400 Ziraat offered of course! Lets be honest and stop the hipocrisy. Players have to get the best they can from their carreer. So why not play in a weak tournament but earn twice what you would being home?? Congrats to the best decision Konarsky has ever made in his entire carreer Reply

RUS W: Goncharova – “I feel more confident because coach Terzic makes me feel that way”

Re: @Vadim
Vakifbank risks with their service and is still considered the strongest club in the world. Alekno made the biggest risk of them all by putting Muserskiy to opposite and Mikhailov to outside attacker in the London Olympics while still considered the best in their original positions...So how is that risk is bad? Players need to master and overcome the risk to not call it anymore as risk. Reply
