Led by their captain Mathias Loftesnes, who scored 14 points and was awarded MVP, Førde prevailed in Game 2 by 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-18) to grab second consecutive championship title. Both came upon returning of the playoff format for the title by the Norwegian federation which was out of use for several years.
Thus, Førde won the right to play 2018 CEV Champions League qualifications.
