Matey Kaziyski
This is the second time in this summer that one Italian has done something alike. The club from Cuneo Brebanca Lannutti has already decided to retire the shirt of their famous player Wout Wijsmans. Wout has played in Cuneo for the last ten years.
With the number one jersey Matey Kaziyski in 277 games (194 with the captain’s armband) has made 4,085 points, which have made him the best attacker of all time in club history.
“We respect the choice of Matey even if it is hard to accept it“ – said the President of the Trentino Volley Diego Mosna -.“ I hope there would be an opportunity to bring him back in Trento in a year and in the meantime the club will retire the jersey number one because that shirt can only be his. Though disappointed, we look ahead because our club history will go along with the promising young players. Now the focus is the organizing of the team for upcoming season, which will be inevitably different but will be modeled in order to be more competitive and with a specific project. We thank Matey for the six wonderful years spent in Trentino Volley and we wish him the best”.
