Only 3 days ago, Blengini announced an unofficial preliminary list of 16 players for the 2015 World Cup in September, but now he added the quartet to the official list.
Compared to the first list, the new head coach of Italy called two more middle blockers – Stefano Mengozzi and Aimone Alletti, the receiver Iacoppo Botto and libero Andrea Giovi.
The official wide list of Italy for the World Cup:
Middle blockers: Mengozzi, Buti, Piano, Birarelli, Anzani, Alletti; Setters: Sottile, Giannelli, Saitta; Receivers/Opposites: Vettori, Juantorena, Zaytsev, Lanza, Antonov, Sabbi, Botto, Massari; Liberos: Rossini, Giovi, Colaci.
