Everyone expected clash of the titans. Instead, it was a one-sided game. Italy scored a convincing straight sets win over France in just 1 hour and 15 minutes!
The players coached by Gianlorenzo Blengini dominated this match from the start. It is enough to write that Italy were in front by 9:0 in the 1st set! That was not just a coincidence. Italians played a perfect match and stormed through each of the 3 sets, while France will have to forget this experience as soon as possible.
The top scorer in the winning side was Ivan Zaytsev with 16 points, while Osmany Juantorena added 12. On the other side, Kevin Tillie and Earvin Ngapeth made 8 points each for France.
