After Zaksa got defeated from Belogorie away and after Skra Belchatow suffered home defeat against Lube, Asseco Resovia also stayed empty-handed this Wednesday evening.

Resovia played against Modena at home in the 1st leg of the Playoffs 12 stage and got defeated in the tie-break.

The Italian champions had to chase the lead of their rivals twice in this match, as Resovia were up by 1-0 and 2-1 in sets. But, when the game entered the tie-break, Ngapeth brothers pushed Modena toward victory.

Earvin Ngapeth did most of the work, as he scored several crucial points for his team in the 5th set, still it was Swan Ngapeth’s great serve that made the difference at the end. At the score of 13:12 for Modena, Swan made a tricky serve, so Resovia squad could not organize a good attacking play. Eventually, the home side got blocked and Modena escaped to 14:12. One moment later, Luca Vettori finished this match with a strong spike – 15:12.

Earvin Ngapeth was the top scorer in Modena with 26 points, while Marko Ivović made 22 points for Asseco Resovia.
