Budvanska rivijera Budva has enrolled their first win in the Champions League (at the start they lost to Polish Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in the away match with 3-0).

Players coached by Slobodan Boškan overpowered Berlin Recycling Volleys in the Mediterranean sports center in Budva with 3-2 (25-22, 32-30, 16-25, 22-25, 15-12), in the 2nd round of Pool C.

Berlin suffered its first defeat since in the first round they beat ACH Volley Ljubljana with 3-1.

The team from Budva has a reason to regret for all three points as they led 2-0 in sets.

Still, the Montenegrian champion managed to repel the attack of the Germans in the fifth set and in the end came to win that left them in the race for the second round, although Resovia (six points in two matches) and Berlin (4) remain favorites for the top two spots.

Budvanska rivijera now expects two matches with Slovenia’s ACH Volley (December 4 in Budva, and December 18 in Ljubljana), which are likely to be crucial for staying in the race for the next round. For that, they need two victories in duels with Slovenian champions.

The team from Budva was led by Yosleyder Cala Gerardo (27 points). Robert Kromm (18 points) was the best scorer in Berlin.
