POL M: Problem for Poland! Cuban Volleyball Federation does not want to issue documents for Leon!

Wilfredo Leon and Poland. There is a problem…

Leon

Leon

Everything is ready for the big debut of Wilfredo Leon in the red & white jersey. Almost everything…

The player has accepted to play for Poland a long time ago, the Polish Volleyball Federation has sent the request to the FIVB, however one very important thing is still missing…

The consent of Cuban Volleyball Federation!

According to sportowefakty.pl, the Cuban Volleyball Federation does not want to issue documents for Wilfredo Leon. Without them he cannot be registered as the Polish player in the FIVB and he therefore cannot play for Poland!

It is the same reason why Yoandy Leal still cannot play for Brazil.

So, there are two ways the Polish Volleyball Federation can resolve this matter. They can either hope that the FIVB will change the rules, or they can try to persuade the people from the Cuban Volleyball Federation to change their opinion.

Anyway, Wilfredo Leon will most certainly miss the European Championship 2017, as he cannot make a debut for Poland before February 2018.

It will be more easier to change the rules than to persuade Cubans!

It’s all about the money :(. Graca doesn’t want Leon in Polish NT, Cubans want if they get money. Polish president of volleyball doesn’t understand it and this is so sad.
