EXCLUSIVE FOR WoV: Mousavi – “I had a dream to play in Italy, but…”

Seyed Mousavi. One of the key members of the Iranian volleyball national team and true volleyball star has gladly accepted our interview request.

Mousavi revealed for WorldofVolley that he had a dream of playing in Europe, especially in Italy…

I had some dreams to come to Europe, especially in Italy. But, we are lucky to play in Iran because our teams pay us very good. Maybe I would play in Europe ten years ago, but not now as I’m 29 year old. Of course, there is less money than Iran. I don’t think about that” admits Mousavi.

Do you consider World League as a preparation for the Olympic Games?

This is like a friendly tournament. We consider it as preparation for the Olympic Games. But, our fans want us to win every match, they don’t like defeats. So, we have some kind of pressure even though our goal is to achieve good results in Rio. We have to play with this tournament with all the players.

Team and personal goals at the Olympic Games in Rio:

Team goal is to just to go to the Olympic Games, to play our game…But when we speak about my, personal goals, I want to win the gold in Rio! It’s going to be difficult, but I think that we have a chance. We proved it before. Our team has that capacity to compete for the first place,” explains Mousavi for WorldofVolley.

POL M: Lebedew - "I understand Kevin, he has received a very good offer"

I agree if there is break out clause. But in this case like in Perin and Resowia, there is no break out clause or termination compensation.
Players have signed and now they don't respect it.
If FIVB let this pass...there will be huge mess on the market...then the clubs won't respect agreements at all.
What shall be guarantee that something signed shall be valid and respected by both sides??? Reply

Re: @Coach It's two ways street. Each contract has break out clause. Clubs terminates contracts with players all the time, why a player couldn't do the same as long as there's break out clause in the contract? Everyone would change a club for double salary, because at the end of the day, that's how they make living
