ITA M: No longer a rumor – 2010 world champion Vissotto in Monza

Italian men’s volleyball Championship, Serie A1, will have another big name in the 2016/2017 season.

Brazilian opposite Leandro Vissotto is officially a new player of Gi Group Monza. A 33-year-old player, with an enviable career and many gold medals won, strengthened the roster of currently seventh-placed team in Serie A1, who recently had to terminate the contract with one of its players do to his involvement into doping scandal, for the second part of the season.

Vissotto came to Monza from Qatari Al Arabi Doha with whom he took silver medal in the 2016 Asian Club Championship. The 2010 FIVB World Championship and 2009 and 2010 FIVB World League wnner with Brazilian Men’s National Team has returned to Italian volleybal after five years.
