Czech Women’s volleyball title holders AGEL Prostějov have hired another Cuban player for the season 2016/2017.
After signing with Sulian Matienzo and Heidy Rodríguez at the beginning of the season, Prostějov acquired their compatriot Dayesi Masso Casalis for the playoffs of the Czech Championship.
A 26-year-old opposite hitter/receiver will replace Turkish Yeliz Başa, who departed from the club. Former Cuban National Team member, who decided to leave home country without getting permission from a Cuban federation, several years ago, came to Prostějov from Egypt. There, Masso only trained for a few month since her club was not able to pay an International Transfer Certificate to the FIVB.
Last season, Masso has worn a jersey of Indonesian side Jakarta BNI 46, previously collecting experience in the Brazilian Superliga.
