U.S. Women’s volleyball star Destinee Hooker has finished her Brazilian adventure.

A 29-year-old opposite announced on social networks that she is leaving Camponesa/Minas after six months.

„Thank you Brazil for everything. Sadly I will not be returning next season. This year has been full of memories and I am thankful I was able to share them with Minas. I will never forget you all. I do not know where I will be playing next season! I want to say best of luck to all the girls who renewed with Minas for next season: Rosamaria, Karol, Léia, Pri and Mara. Also best of luck to Paulo Coco who will be coaching Praia next season. God bless and keep fighting Minas. You will always be in my heart,“ Hooker wrote on Instagram.

A two-time FIVB World Grand Prix winner with the US National Team averaged 44% in attack this season before her team lost Superliga playoff semifinals to Rexona-Sesc by 3-2.

Hooker also confirmed what Minas published earlier, that a quintet of players will stay in club for 2017/2018: Rosamaria Montibeller, Karoline ’Karol’ Tórmena, Léia Nicolosi, Priscila ’Pri’ Dariot and Mara Leão. Also, she revealed that coach Paulo Rego 'Coco' will definitely move to Dentil/Praia Clube, which was only an unofficial info so far.

TURNAROUND: FIVB awards last wild card for 2017 Club World Championship to Dinamo!

It is all about entrance 'fees': because Moscow has more money than Conegliano and the last couldn't or didn't want to pay those 100.000 US $, Moscow took over. If this is the right way to distribute the (too?) many (4) wildcards, everybody should decide on his own. Reply

BRA W: Skowronska in Brazil!?

She was injured and now somebody is spreading news that she is requested just to get her a better contract somewhere in europe. Fool who gets tricked by this! Reply

ITA W: Another member of Eczacıbaşı line-up going away – Tijana Bošković!?

She will leave because Nesli, even though she has years, must play and she didn't play so much last season. That's the main reason Reply
