ASIAN CUP W: Japan, China, Thailand and Taipei in semis

The four teams have secured the semifinal of the Asian Cup for women in Nakhon Ratchasima.

Chinese Taipei  - South Korea

TPE – KOR

Today, Japan outplayed Vietnam, Chinese Taipei defeated South Korea while China beat Iran and Thailand were stronger than Australia.

Chinese Taipei lost them all in the pool round-robin preliminaries, but they scored the 3-1 (18-25 25-20 25-15 26-24) victory over Korea, their first win at the 6th AVC Cup.

Tseng Wan-Ling scored 18 points for Chinese Taipei, while Go Yerim scored 24 points for Korea.

Day 4 – stats

Japan – Vietnam 3-1 (20-25, 25-23, 25-12, 25-23)

South Korea – Chinese Taipei 1-3 (25-18, 20-25, 15-25, 24-26)

China – Iran 3-0 (25-11, 25-12, 25-16)

Thailand – Australia 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-13)
