BRA M: Sada Cruzeiro returns on top!

With a 3-0 win over Caramuru Volei, Sada Cruzeiro have returned on top of the standings.

 

Evandro was the best scorer of the match with 14 points while Taylor Sander was selected the MVP of the game. He scored 13 points and received the VIVA Volei Trophy.

“It was a good match for us, we played well. We won against Maringa a few days ago for the semifinal of the Brazilian Cup and we got them again. It was a great victory, the team showed good energy…” says Taylor Sander.

Now, Sada are in the first place with 35 points and two defeats while Sesi Sp is in the second place with the same score but with 33 points.

Men's Brazilian Superliga:

Sao Judas – Funvic 0-3 (25-27, 23-25, 16-25)

Minas – UM Itapetininga  3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 28-26)

Corinthians – Sesi 0-3 (16-25, 20-25, 18-25)

Maringa – Volei Ribeirao 3-1 (29-27, 22-25, 25-21, 25-23)

As exciting as it is to see foreigners putting up a show for your fans, it does nothing to help the development of the local talents. And some teams even have Filipino Americans playing as 'locals', while still having the additions of foreign players on the same team as well. Why not just have those Fil American count as the foreigners, so they won't take the space of locals? The Philippines ranks #117, I think you guys should get your act together first. Even North Korea ranks higher, has a NT and program, but no league........and that says a lot. lol Reply
