The reigning champions Dentil/Praia Clube started playoffs in the 2018/19 Brazilian women’s volleyball league (Superliga Cimed 2018-2019) with a confident win.

Dentil/Praia Clube built a brick wall on the net against seventh seed Fluminense F.C. (11 kill blocks) in Game 1 of Superliga 2018-2019 playoff quarterfinals to start knockout stage without much of a scare – 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-19). Fabiana Claudino top-scored for Praia with 15 points, including 4 kill blocks, which was as much as Ana Carolina Silva “Carol” made. Priscila Moreira “Pri Dariot” scored 11 points for Fluminense.

The eight seed Curitiba Vôlei made the job to regular season winners Itambé/Minas as hard as they could in Game 1 but still have fallen in straight sets, dropping 5-0 in the second set. Natália Zilio led top seed Minas with 14 points and earned the MVP of the Match Award.
