Sesc RJ maintained the leadership of the 2019/20 Brazilian Women’s Volleyball Championship regular season by beating São Paulo FC/Barueri at home in Round 14 with 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-15).

The match between the teams commanded by the 2 greatest volleyball coaches in Brazil (and one of the greatest in the world), Zé Roberto and Rezende, went into the favor of the latter for the 2nd time this season in the Superliga Feminina. The opposite Tandara Caixeta from Sesc was the top scorer of a duel with 19 points. Lorenne Teixeira scored 13 points for Barueri.

Sesc-RJ are the leaders of the competition with 13 wins and only one loss (38 points) which is as many points as Dentil/Praia Clube have on the vice-leaders position after sweeping Esporte Clube Pinheiros (3-0). Both Sesc and Praia extended their already long winning streaks: to 5 games and 7 games, respectively.

One more team maintained its long invincibility, Osasco/Audax. The team from the São Paulo State recorded the 5th successive victory to come in 4th with 12-2 and 32 points.

ITALIAN CUP M: Trentino drop 2-0 in sets, Lube become first finalists

Trentino really started fast in set 1 and 2 and looked really smooth but Lube's experience and identity showed through when it counted. Bruno found the hot spikers at the right time and Simone Gianellli didnt feed the ball enough to his middles and Russell who hit .680 and zero errors. Both Trentino's other pins received more sets and far lower scoring percentages. Doesn't look like Kovacevic will be back this year to form so the coaches need to be smarter.

Hoping the Perugia/Modena match is as good. Reply

QAT M: Milos Nikic moves to Al Rayyan SC

Great player, one of the main stars from the last Modena team who won the Italian Championship. Played in Italy, Russia, Poland, Turkey, Argentina. Due to ACL injury, he had to pause for 1 year. Good luck Milos, come back next season where you belong... Reply
