BRA W: In direct clash for No.4, Bauru beat Osasco in straight sets

Sesi Vôlei Bauru defeated Osasco/Audax in Round 18 of the 2019/20 Brazilian Women’s Volleyball Championship regular season and entered the top four in the charts.


Bauru beat Osasco in the Paulista derby valid for the 18th round of the 2019/20 Superliga Feminina regular season, on the road, by a 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 26-24).

Led by the Azerbaijani opposite hitter Polina Rahimova (21 points, including 4 aces) and libero Tássia Sthael (88% reception – 17 digs, 53% excellent), Bauru leapfrogged Osasco in the standings, coming in fourth with 36 points (11-7). The more titled of these two São Paulo teams is fifth with 35 points (13-5). By tallying 15 points, Jaqueline Endres was Osasco’s best scorer today, while Camila Brait has made 87% reception (15 digs, 67% excellent).

For the first time in history, Italy won’t participate in VNL

Well Sports Fans, the reality is that Italy won't be alone and you can bet more Federations will do the same as this worlwide pandemic evolves. Summer sports for all will not be happening and I can forsee European Leagues holding off until late October and November. Budgets for all clubs and federations are in a holding pattern until we get a better grip on this virus. Its actually a smart decision by the Italians.
