CL W: Guidetti – “Maritza have a different style of play”

765 0

The head coach of Vakifbank Giovanni Guidetti has commented on the victory over Maritza Plovdiv.

Maritza has a different style of play than VakifBank. But we are happy because we won. We played a good game. We have a heavy, intense training period. We need to improve and work on our service shots. We will continue to work on this issue more.”

VakifBank ISTANBUL opposite Lonneke Slöetjes:

I feel really good. I think sometimes you play well, sometimes you play not so well. At this stage of the season, it's normal. We do a lot of hard practice and a lot of hard fitness. So, it's normal that you don't always play perfectly in the match. But I am very happy that we can still win even in this condition.”

As exciting as it is to see foreigners putting up a show for your fans, it does nothing to help the development of the local talents. And some teams even have Filipino Americans playing as 'locals', while still having the additions of foreign players on the same team as well. Why not just have those Fil American count as the foreigners, so they won't take the space of locals? The Philippines ranks #117, I think you guys should get your act together first. Even North Korea ranks higher, has a NT and program, but no league........and that says a lot. lol Reply
