CL W: Novara remain perfect after four rounds

Novara have scored the fourth consecutive win in the CEV Champions League.

 

The Italian team has downed Minchanka in straight sets 25-16, 25-13, 25-19.

Igor Gorgonzola NOVARA is the only team with a “clean sheet” so far: the Italian team has won 12 sets and lost 0 in their first four 2019 CEV Volleyball Champions League games.

Paula Yamila Nizetich was awarded MVP after a good performance: she scored 16 points with three aces and 61% of success rate in the attack.

We are very proud of our performance and of our European campaign so far. We look forward to playing our next games and our goal is to finish the pool phase in the first position and qualify for the quarterfinals. I am grateful to my teammates for having helped me win the MVP title of the game,” says Yaz Nizetich.

As exciting as it is to see foreigners putting up a show for your fans, it does nothing to help the development of the local talents. And some teams even have Filipino Americans playing as 'locals', while still having the additions of foreign players on the same team as well. Why not just have those Fil American count as the foreigners, so they won't take the space of locals? The Philippines ranks #117, I think you guys should get your act together first. Even North Korea ranks higher, has a NT and program, but no league........and that says a lot. lol Reply
