USA have scored another win in this year's edition of the Volleyball Nations League.

After beating Belgium in the first round in three sets, while this time the U.S. girls dropped a set against Japan. It was an amazing set for Japan, since they managed to make a comeback after being down by 8 points.

"I am feeling very tired. Japan is a really strong team and they worked us hard. Their defense is perfect and we had to be quite scrappy and work hard in long rallies. And yes, I am tired but glad. I think in the third set we just came back to what we do best - passing really well and trying to run out our offense," says Haleigh Washington, player of USA.

Heleigh Washington was the best scorer of the USA with 20 points, while Madison Kingdon, Jordan Thompson and Hannah Tapp added 13 points each. On the other side, Yuki Ishii had 23 points.

Belgium have made a stunning comeback in Ruse, playing a very interesting game against the host Bulgaria. The Belgian girls were trailing by 2-0 in sets but managed to win the game after winning the last three sets.

Britt Herborts led Belgium to the win with 23 points, while Miroslava Paskova had 20 on the other side.

They should just make the continental championships this year the Olympic Qualification to reduce the number of useless tournaments. Otherwise, the continental championships are useless because they no longer give world ranking points. Particularly for Asia, where Iran has not finished well since 2013 because they do not care about the tournament and send a weaker team instead of their main team. Reply
