The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) won’t yet comment on the situation regarding the 2022 Men’s World Championship in Russia whose holding is at risk due to the doping-related scandal of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA). Also, the governing body of the world volleyball didn't say a word about the possible suspension of Russian volleyball players from international events.

Until the Executive Committee of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) makes the decision on the status of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA), that will affect the participation of the Russian athletes at international competitions and Russia’s organization of these kinds of events, the FIVB will restrain from commenting on the matter.

The FIVB will not make any comment until the WADA CRC process regarding RUSADA compliance (including any potential appeals), has concluded.” was told to TASS by the press service of the FIVB.

Recall that in case WADA imposes sanctions against RUSADA, both men’s and women’s volleyball national teams of Russia will be banned from competing at the 2020 Olympics, as well as all Russian athletes, while the organization of the 2022 FIVB Men’s World Championship that’s supposed to be held in 10 cities across Russia will be canceled.
