FRA M: Rennes defeated Tourcoing in tie-break, Tours and Montpellier scored convincing victories

The reigning champions Tours won the game with Poitiers at the home court in three sets 25-15, 25-13, 25-20.

 

In a home team, Nathan Wounembaina was the top scorer with 13 points, while Hermans Egleskalns ended a game with 12 points. Zouheir El Graoui was the top scorer in Poitiers with 14 points.

A great game has been played between Rennes and Tourcoing. Luckily for the home side, they were better in five sets thriller 21-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-17, 15-12. Bram Van den Dries with 27 points and Kamil Baranek with 21 points were the top scorers of the game. In Tourcoing Ronald Jimenez led his team with 21 points.

Ajaccio won the game in Narbonne 3-0. The Corsican team prevailed mainly thanks to Thimotee Carle who had 18 points and to Milan Pepic who added 14. In Narbonne, Lisandro Zanotti with 16 and Arpad Baroti with 14 points were the best scorers.

Montpellier-Volley UC won game in three sets with AS Cannes 25-20, 35-33, 25-18.

Nantes Reze Metropole Volley defeated Chaumont Volley-Ball 52 HM in four sets 21-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-18.

In game played on February 2, Nice Volley-Ball have scored victory, beating Spacer’s Toulouse Volley in straight sets 3-0  (25-17, 18-24, 25-15).

As exciting as it is to see foreigners putting up a show for your fans, it does nothing to help the development of the local talents. And some teams even have Filipino Americans playing as 'locals', while still having the additions of foreign players on the same team as well. Why not just have those Fil American count as the foreigners, so they won't take the space of locals? The Philippines ranks #117, I think you guys should get your act together first. Even North Korea ranks higher, has a NT and program, but no league........and that says a lot. lol Reply
