By beating Chaumont with 3-1 (25-19, 25-18, 14-25; 25-21), Rennes recorded the 9th triumph in a row to confirm their excellent first half of the season in the 2019/20 Ligue A Masculine. Even prior to this match, the last one in the first half of the season and in 2019, too, the team coached by Serbian Nikola Matijašević assured the title of autumn champion. Brazilian Rafael Araújo top-scored for Rennes with 16 points which as many as Julien Winkelmuller scored for Chaumont.

The vice-leaders and titleholders Tours still go with the momentum, achieving the 7th straight success as they down Toulouse at home by a 3-0.

The match between Ajaccio and Nantes-Rezé has been postponed due to bad weather conditions on the island of Corsica.
