P.A.O.K. repeated the last year’s success in the Greek Men’s Volleyball Cup.

P.A.O.K. won their third Hellenic Cup, second in a row, as they beat Iraklis Volleyball 2015 in this season’s final which was held in the city of Ierapetra (Crete island).

The Thessaloniki side prevailed in four sets against the rivals which they recently eliminated in the championship playoff quarterfinals, partially 20-25, 25-12, 25-20 and 27-25. A day earlier, P.A.O.K. kicked fierce rivals Olympiacos S.F.P. out of the tournament (3-1) and opened themselves a path to the trophy.

Garrett Muagututia, the American outside hitter from P.A.O.K, was the best scorer of the gold medal encounter with 23 points and was named MVP of the Final Four. Russian Egor Popov scored 19 points for Iraklis.

2018/19 Hellenic Cup – final:

P.A.O.K. - Iraklis Volleyball 2015 3-1 (20-25, 25-12, 25-20, 27-25)

RUS W: Despite renewing with Dinamo Moscow, Ognjenović will join VakıfBank

Wow! Ognjenović had some heated clashes with the Vakifbank coach on court while she was playing for EcZ. I have seen in one video that she was screaming at him. Ognjenović is fiery and the captain of the National Serbia team and is considered one of the best setters (and smart) in the world. I like this move. The current setter for Vakifbank makes bad decisions(and poor sets) at bad times that caused them. Reply
