Igor Gorgonzola Novara have retained the Italian National Cup trophy, beating Imoco Volley in the remake of 2018 final!

It was a super exciting final in which Novara had many troubles after taking the first set as their display suddenly dropped. It was a chance for Imoco to take over the lead and they managed to make it.

However, unlike the game 10 days ago, now Novara answered back and in the last two sets, they played at the highest possible level to give the fans something to cheer about!

Paola Egonu was the most dominant player of the game with 29 points! Michelle Bartch contributed with 15 points.

In Imoco, Samanta Fabris and Myriam Sylla ended the match with 21 points each.

The MVP of the game was Letizia Camera.

Women's Italian Cup, Final:

Novara - Imoco Volley 3-2 (25-22, 20-25, 12-25, 25-22, 15-12)

Semifinals:

Novara – Busto Arsizio 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-19)

PHI W: Foton and Sta. Lucia open Superliga in a winning way

As exciting as it is to see foreigners putting up a show for your fans, it does nothing to help the development of the local talents. And some teams even have Filipino Americans playing as 'locals', while still having the additions of foreign players on the same team as well. Why not just have those Fil American count as the foreigners, so they won't take the space of locals? The Philippines ranks #117, I think you guys should get your act together first. Even North Korea ranks higher, has a NT and program, but no league........and that says a lot. lol Reply
