ITA M: Aleksandar Atanasijevic powers Perugia past Modena, victories for Lube & Trentino

The Serbian opposite had a good game in a match of the round against Modena, pushing Perugia to a 3-1 win.

 

Even though Modena had a much better game opening, they couldn’t do anything to stop Modena in the other three sets.

Aleksandar Atanasijevic has ended the game with 29 points, while Wilfredo Leon contributed with 19 points.

Lube Civitanova have downed Sora on the road in straight sets 25-20, 25-21, 25-22. Yoandy Leal (15 points) and Tsvetan Sokolov (14 points) were the best scorers in Lube, while Dusan Petkovic had 18 on the other side.

Trentino didn’t have any difficulties at the home court against Castellana. Uros Kovacevic scored 16, while Aaron Russell contributed with 15 points.

Modena – Perugia 1-3 (25-23, 18-25, 20-25, 21-25)

Monza – Milano 0-3 (16-25, 21-25, 19-25)

Sora – Lube Civitanova 0-3 (20-25, 21-25, 22-25)

Trentino – Castellana 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-20)

Vibo Valentia – Latina 1-3 (20-25, 21-25, 25-20, 24-26)

Saturday:

Ravenna – Verona 0-3 (22-25, 22-25, 20-25)

Siena – Padova 2-3 (21-25, 22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 11-15)

As exciting as it is to see foreigners putting up a show for your fans, it does nothing to help the development of the local talents. And some teams even have Filipino Americans playing as 'locals', while still having the additions of foreign players on the same team as well. Why not just have those Fil American count as the foreigners, so they won't take the space of locals? The Philippines ranks #117, I think you guys should get your act together first. Even North Korea ranks higher, has a NT and program, but no league........and that says a lot. lol Reply
