ITALIAN CUP M: Perugia finish the game vs. Modena in three sets to reach the final!

740 0

No one expected such an outcome in a clash between Perugia and Modena. It’s not about the winner, it’s about the number of sets.

We believe that many fans expected much more from Modena, but except a huge resistance in the second round, they couldn’t do anything to stop Perugia.

In the first and the third set, Perugia had complete domination, not allowing the rivals to play their usual playing style.

The Serbian opposite Aleksandar Atanasijevic was the best scorer with 16 points, while Wilfredo Leon added 10. In Modena, there were no players with double digits.

Both sides made a big number of serve mistakes (Perugia 22, Modena 17) so the fans didn’t have an opportunity to watch a better and more exciting game.

Men’s Italian Cup, semifinals:

Perugia – Modena 3-0 (25-17, 28-26, 25-18)

Trentino – Lube 18:00 CET

As exciting as it is to see foreigners putting up a show for your fans, it does nothing to help the development of the local talents. And some teams even have Filipino Americans playing as 'locals', while still having the additions of foreign players on the same team as well. Why not just have those Fil American count as the foreigners, so they won't take the space of locals? The Philippines ranks #117, I think you guys should get your act together first. Even North Korea ranks higher, has a NT and program, but no league........and that says a lot. lol Reply
