According to Il Resto del Carlino Modena, a three-time CEV Champions League and four-time FIVB Club World Championship winner with Itas Trentino as a head coach is close to returning to the Italian volleyball after a year.

Last time Stoytchev worked in Italy was in the 2017/18 season in Azimut Leo Shoes Modena, leaving them with a bitter taste in his mouth due to some sort of players’ rebellion against him that was led by the two team’s stars at the moment Earvin Ngapeth and Bruno Rezende.

The Bulgarian expert had a disappointing season behind him and not in a matter of results but in a matter of being unable to work at all knowing that the Polish club Stocznia Szczecin, that appointed him a Sporting Director, withdrew from participating in the top division for financial reasons.

Now, Stoytchev allegedly negotiates with Calzedonia Verona but it is yet unknown for which position – the head coach or Sporting Director.
