The biggest derby of an Italian Women’s Volleyball Championship nowadays went into the favor of Imoco Volley Conegliano.

Imoco Volley Conegliano have an outstanding 2019/20 Lega Pallavolo Serie A Femminile regular season campaign that could end in Round 6 against fierce rivals Igor Gorgonzola Novara. It turned out that was only an option on paper because Italian champions Conegliano proved stronger than European champions on the road: 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 25-23, 25-18).

Paola Egonu showed that she will have no emotions towards her former club from the start of the match as she poured in 9 points already in the opening set! She finished the derby with game-high 32 points. Raphaela Folie made 4 kill blocks. As for Novara, Bulgarian Elitsa Vasileva was the top scorer with 13 points but with only a 36% attack success rate (12/33).
