It was set by Micha Hancock, an American setter from Igor Gorgonzola Novara. She scored 10 points from the service, improving an all-time record of one of the strongest championships in the world by one ace!

The previous record was jointly held by 2 players – Hancock’s compatriot Hayley Spelman (Zeta System Urbino Volley) in the 2014/15 and Valentina Zago (Èpiù Pomì Casalmaggiore) in the 2011/12.

RUS M: Verbov no longer head coach of Zenit-Kazan

This was expected considering the worst season Zenit had this year. From the absolute domination at the national and international level, they became average team. If Alekno comes back, Mikhaylov goes back to the opposite spot, and they find one great outside hitter they might be able to form great team again. Reply
