Both spots for the 2018/19 Japanese men’s volleyball league semifinals remained open until today’s last round of Final 6 and they were ultimately snatched by JT Thunders and Toray Arrows.

JT Thunders beat Toyoda Gosei Trefuerza by a 3-1 (25-20, 25-21, 18-25, 25-16) on the road with 12 apiece from Thomas Edgar and Daisuke Yako. The Australian opposite played only the first two sets while Yako took part in the remaining two. Thus, the Thunders secured No.2 and a place in the 2018-19 V.League Division 1 semifinal, which will be the part of Final 3.

The other ticket for the semis was grabbed by Toray Arrows who needed five sets to defeat Osaka Blazers with 17 points from Burmese Aung Thu and 15 from French Antonin Rouzier. Both only played the first three sets.

Earlier, Panasonic Panthers secured an automatic berth for the finals as the top seed in Final 6.

The Final 3 will be held at Todoroki Arena in Kawasaki on March 30-31. The Thunders and Toray will play best-of-two semifinals.

2018-19 V.League Division 1, Final 6, today’s results:

Toray Arrows - Osaka Blazers 3-2 (25-20, 19-25, 25-23, 17-25, 15-11)

It is a pity, because Tandara is 100 times better than Ana Paula Borgo. Reply

VNL 2019 M: France end Iran’s 7-game winning streak, Australia beat Portugal in battle to avoid relegation

Some of the players from the Portuguese national team during the match would get a hard blow from me. When he served Alex Ferreira and the ball was passing to Portugal, they did terrible things.

VNL 2019 M: Poletaev and Leal make admirable attack success rates, leading Russia and Brazil to wins in Pool 16

What about scarse reception of Leal? Took 6 aces suring the match.... What about services mistakes? So he made 11 points in attack but gave away directly 8!!! Great score, 2 positive..... Reply
