JPN W: Hitachi surprise JT Marvelous, domination of Jana Kulan against Toyota!

JT Marvelous have suffered the second defeat in the fifth round of the women's V-League.


JT Marvelous have lost the game at the home court against Hitachi. As of the beginning of the game, they had a lot of difficulties to stop the attacks of the rival, that was ahead all the time. 

On the winning side, Miwako Minaguchi was the most dominant player with 26 points while Mizuki Tanaka was the best scorer in JT Marvelous with 23 points, while Brankica Mihajlovic had 23.

Jana Kulan had a good display in jersey of Toray Arrows, finishing the game with 29 points. Her team won the game thanks to her performance, beating Toyota Auto Body Queeseis in four sets 3-1 (25-22, 16-25, 25-20, 26-24).

Women’s V-League, round 5:

Body Queenseis – Toray Arrows 1-3 (22-25, 25-16, 20-25, 24-26)

NEC Red Rockets – Blue Cats 3-1 (20-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-23)

JT Marvelous – Hitachi 2-3 (18-25, 28-26, 21-25, 25-21, 11-15)

Kurobe – Denso 0-3 (17-25, 23-25, 19-25)

As exciting as it is to see foreigners putting up a show for your fans, it does nothing to help the development of the local talents. And some teams even have Filipino Americans playing as 'locals', while still having the additions of foreign players on the same team as well. Why not just have those Fil American count as the foreigners, so they won't take the space of locals? The Philippines ranks #117, I think you guys should get your act together first. Even North Korea ranks higher, has a NT and program, but no league........and that says a lot. lol Reply
