Despite signing the contract with Flamengo, the U.S. National Team member Hannah Tapp will not play in the Brazilian top division.

As Bruno Voloch published in his blog, referring to the sources in the U.S. Volleyball Federation (USAV), the 24-year-old Hannah Tapp will continue her career in Hitachi Rivale, Japan, and not in Botafogo, Brazil, for which she signed the contract. The team based in Hitachinaka city offered around 100,000 euros to an American middle blocker and she accepted it, according to Voloch. Hitachi were forced to seek a replacement for Tapp’s compatriot Rachael Adams, who has a knee injury.

Tapp was awarded Best Blocker at the 2019 Pan-American Cup and is on the roster of the U.S. National Team at the ongoing FIVB World Cup in Japan.

100,000 euros doe't to be too much. I can't imagine what Brazil has offered her. My guess is Turkey top teams are paying good middle blockers 300K to 500K euros. Then I can't fathom Zhu Ting is making 1.5M euros and if she were to press her case with Vakifbank, she might have gotten more. Vakifbank made the 1.5M offer and Zhu didn't counter.

QAT M: Milos Nikic moves to Al Rayyan SC

Great player, one of the main stars from the last Modena team who won the Italian Championship. Played in Italy, Russia, Poland, Turkey, Argentina. Due to ACL injury, he had to pause for 1 year. Good luck Milos, come back next season where you belong... Reply

Modena is on the roll. After Lube, they conquered Trentino and shown they will be formidable opponent in play-offs.
Something is wrong in Trentino land. Same players as last year but much worse results. Something will have to change soon, either results or coach... Reply

ITA M: Modena conquer Trentino’s home court after 4 years, Perugia record 21st win in a row

This was a terrific match to watch. High level players everywhere. Christenson is having the best year of his career in my opinion. Anderson was good early, Zaytzev was great late amd Holt was automatic in the middle.
Trentino needs a complete lineup soon. Russell was the best player this match for both teams. Whoever is going to get this him next year is going to be lucky.
Can't wait for these playoffs. Reply
