SLOVENIAN CUP M: ACH Volley win trophy 3rd time in a row

ACH Volley Ljubljana have won the Slovenian Men’s Volleyball Cup for the 12th time, the 3rd time in a row.

 

ACH Volley Ljubljana beat Merkur Maribor by a 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-14) in the final of the 2019/20 Slovenian Cup (Pokal moški) whose Final 4 was held in Kamnik. For the national champions, this was the 12th trophy in the competition, the 3rd in a row.

On Saturday, Maribor made a big surprise in the semifinals and beat vice-champions Calcit Volley in a tie-break but were unable to down ACH Volley, losing all 3 matches against them this season (previous 2 occurred in the MEVZA League). Serbian Božidar Vučićević top-scored for the Ljubljana team with 22 points (4 aces), while Rok Možič scored 17 for Maribor.

ITA M: De Cecco has contract with Lube in his hands, Bruno going in opposite direction?

Not sure this is a smart move on Lube's part. De Cocco is not the level of Bruno, Christenson and Giannelli. Maybe they should outside of Italy for great setter since they forced Christenson out who just signed a 3-year extension with Modena, and Giannelly is not leaving Trentino. Reply
