BUL M: Yosifov and Salparov say goodbye to national team

The 2 mainstays of the Bulgaria Men’s National Team have retired from international volleyball.


The captain Viktor Yosifov (34) and the libero Teodor Salparov (37) retired from the Bulgaria National Team. Both decided to no longer play for the „Lions“, which means that the European Olympic Qualifier in Berlin was the last competition in which they performed in the national team jersey.

The two were among the most deserved player for the successes of the country’s volleyball in the last decade embodied in several medals from major competitions.

Not sure this is a smart move on Lube's part. De Cocco is not the level of Bruno, Christenson and Giannelli. Maybe they should outside of Italy for great setter since they forced Christenson out who just signed a 3-year extension with Modena, and Giannelly is not leaving Trentino. Reply
