The outbreak of coronavirus in China put all public gatherings, including sports matches, on hold.

The coronavirus that killed more than 300 people and infected more than 17,000 across China in the last month, practically, stopped all activities in most of the country. Logically, it affected sports and more specifically volleyball. Round 2 of the Super League, that was supposed to be held yesterday, is postponed indefinitely, as well as the entire championship. Foreign players started to leave China due to a fear of the virus, but also due to the fact that it’s unknown when the competition will resume. Slovenian Tine Urnaut and Italian Giulio Sabbi, both playing for Shanghai, left the Asian country as the latter posted on social media.

“Due to the virus that is immobilizing China, after various local sports have been suspended, Giulio and his teammate Tine Urnaut will return to Italy where they will await the decision of the CVA (i.e. Chinese Volleyball Association) regarding the cancellation of the championship. Updates to follow,“ Sabbi wrote.

IVolley Magazine got the information that Sabbi has already returned to Italy with his family as he was practically stuck inside the apartment of a hotel, rarely going outside, let alone practicing in the gym.

TUR W: VakıfBank and Eczacıbaşı extend their brutal winning streaks

Sonja Newcombe's transfer to Eczacibasi was hopeless. She is very ineffective in attack. In the match against PTT Spor didn't finish 6 balls in attack. For 2 sets she didn't score any points.

ITA M: De Cecco has contract with Lube in his hands, Bruno going in opposite direction?

Re: @Direktor De Cecco doesn't have hitters like Juantorean, Leal, Simon. Leon and Atanasijevic are not enough. Rychlicki is already a good opposite, will only grow in the next few years to become 1st class.
I am not sure if you noticed that two Perugia starters (Lanza and Podrascanin) were benched in the 4th set. Lube is just too good, they are the best in the world right now.

Re: @former_player
Agree on that, they could try getting Toniutti or Marouf, better choices in my opinion that De Cecco. Lube won a few days ago because of De Cecco's bad decisions, Perugia attackers were in much better mood that Lube's. Reply
