An experienced Azerbaijani player Natalya Mammadova will continue her career in the Indonesian volleyball championship.

The 35-year-old Mammadova stayed in Asia. The outside hitter spent the first half of the season in China, playing with Liaoning with whom she finished 6th. Now, the veteran Azerbaijani player joined her compatriot Odina Aliyeva in Jakarta Pertamina Energi, Indonesia. A 3-time CEV Champions League Best Scorer and one-time FIVB Club World Championship winner (with Rabita Baku in 2011) will be the 7th foreign player in the 2019/20 Proliga.

Mammadova already made her debut in the competition, helping her team beat Bandung BJB Tandamata in straight sets in Round 3 on Sunday.

For the first time in history, Italy won’t participate in VNL

Well Sports Fans, the reality is that Italy won't be alone and you can bet more Federations will do the same as this worlwide pandemic evolves. Summer sports for all will not be happening and I can forsee European Leagues holding off until late October and November. Budgets for all clubs and federations are in a holding pattern until we get a better grip on this virus. Its actually a smart decision by the Italians. Hopefully the Atheltes use this time to rest and strengthen their bodies Reply
