Bartosz Filipiak, the player of the Trefl Gdańsk, tied the world record in the fastest service during the quarterfinals of the 2019/20 Polish Men’s Volleyball Cup!

 

Trefl Gdańsk player Bartosz Filipiak tied the world record in the fastest service. During the quarterfinal of the Polish Cup against Jastrzębski Węgiel, the 25-year-old opposite hitter made a 134 km/h serve, repeating what Ivan Zaytsev has done in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.

 

Filipiak was the most deserving player for Trefl’s comeback from 0-2 to 3-2 in the match, scoring 23 points, including 5 aces.

For the first time in history, Italy won’t participate in VNL

Well Sports Fans, the reality is that Italy won't be alone and you can bet more Federations will do the same as this worlwide pandemic evolves. Summer sports for all will not be happening and I can forsee European Leagues holding off until late October and November. Budgets for all clubs and federations are in a holding pattern until we get a better grip on this virus. Its actually a smart decision by the Italians. Hopefully the Atheltes use this time to rest and strengthen their bodies Reply
