RUS W: Uralochka down the reigning champions!

In a match of the round 2, Uralochka defeated the defending champions Dynamo Moscow in straight sets!


The defense of Uralochka have managed to handle many attacks from the Russian star Nataliya Goncharova, which led to a 3-0 win (25-19, 27-25, 25-16).

Only in the second set, the team from the capital of Russia has given a huge resistance, but they couldn't tie the score and make this game more exciting.

The top scorer was Anastasiya Garelik with 19 points, while on the other side Nataliya Goncharova had 14. 

Dinamo Kazan have scored the win against the league newcomer from Belarus, Minchanka. They needed three sets to score the first victory in the league.

Anastasiya Bavykina was the best scorer on the winning side with 18 points, while Oksana Kovalchuk had 12 in the team from Minsk.

As exciting as it is to see foreigners putting up a show for your fans, it does nothing to help the development of the local talents. And some teams even have Filipino Americans playing as 'locals', while still having the additions of foreign players on the same team as well. Why not just have those Fil American count as the foreigners, so they won't take the space of locals? The Philippines ranks #117, I think you guys should get your act together first. Even North Korea ranks higher, has a NT and program, but no league........and that says a lot. lol Reply
