Zenit Saint Petersburg secured third seed for the 2018/19 Superliga (Russian men’s volleyball league) playoff quarterfinals.

In the penultimate round of Superliga, Zenit Saint Petersburg needed a 3-0 or 3-1 win against Gazprom Yugra-Surgut to secure the third seed for the playoffs. And they did it – 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 28-26). Three players have returned to the court for Zenit – Cuban Oreol Camejo after a short time (played only in the first set) and Sergey Cehrvyakov and Artem Zelenkov after being sidelined for a long time. German György Grozer scored 11 points in the third set (23 overall) for Zenit which is the new club record. Bogdan Glivenko made 13 for Surgut.
