Dinamo Moscow emerged victorious from the big match of Round 18 of the 2019/20 Russian Men’s Volleyball Championship regular season against Fakel.

The central match of the 18th round of the 2019/20 Superliga Parimatch regular season was held in Novy Urengoy, in which Dinamo Moscow beat the hosts in straight sets: 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-19). With the win, the team from the Russian capital returned to second place in the charts, squeezing out Zenit-Kazan (also victorious in this round) to the third position. Fakel lost their fourth successive match and came in sixth, which is certainly highly disappointing for their fans knowing they used to fight for the top spot at one moment. Kuzbass and Zenit Saint-Petersburg wrote down 3-point worth wins to keep No.4 and No.5, respectively.

I think this was the best decision for the club. With only having 2 foreigner spots, the setter position was the easier position to let go. I think Lokomotiv will transfer a foreign OPP in place. Reply

For the first time in history, Italy won’t participate in VNL

Well Sports Fans, the reality is that Italy won't be alone and you can bet more Federations will do the same as this worlwide pandemic evolves. Summer sports for all will not be happening and I can forsee European Leagues holding off until late October and November. Budgets for all clubs and federations are in a holding pattern until we get a better grip on this virus. Its actually a smart decision by the Italians. Hopefully the Atheltes use this time to rest and strengthen their bodies Reply
