The top-seed Dinamo-Kazan achieved a straight-set victory on the road over fourth-seed Dinamo Moscow in the first match of the 2019/20 Superliga Parimatch playoff semifinals: 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-22).

Due to the coronavirus pandemic that struck the planet, sporting events in Russia aren’t suspended but are played without fans in the stands. However, there’s no ban on attending sports events in Moscow. It was only limited up to 5,000 spectators. As from tomorrow, it will be limited to 50 spectators, which means that this match was the last in the Russian capital that could include a large number of spectators in the stands.

Croatian Samanta Fabris top-scored for the winning side team with 23 points. Nataliya Goncharova poured in 25 points for the reigning champions. The rematch will be held in Kazan in five days.

Uralochka-NTMK prevailed in Game 1 of the other semifinals.
