TUR W: Tijana Boskovic's show for Eczacibasi’s 14th win in a row, Vakifbank hammer Fenerbahce!

Eczacibasi have continued the winning streak, scoring the 14th win in a row against Beylikduzu 3-1 (24-26, 25-13, 25-17, 25-20).

 

The undefeated team so far in the league was in a difficult situation after the first set, but in the other three sets, they showed how powerful they really are.

Tijana Boskovic had an amazing performance, scoring 32 points, while Larson Jordan contributed with 20. Simone Lee was the best on the other side with 17 points.

Zhu Ting (17 points) and Lonneke Sloetjes (14 points) were the best in a very convincing victory against Fenerbahce 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-23). Milena Rasic and Ebrar Karakurt have skipped this game, while Melissa Vargas ended the match with 19 points on the other side.

THY and Galatasaray have continued battle for the fourth place. Galatasaray were better than Besiktas in straight sets, while Thy beat Halkbank in four sets.

Besiktas – Galatasaray 0-3 (23-25, 15-25, 17-25)

Eczacibasi – Beylikduzu 3-1 (24-26, 25-13, 25-17, 25-20)

Vakifbank – Fenerbahce 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-23)

Ankara – Aydin 2-3 (16-25, 19-25, 25-23, 27-25, 13-15)

As exciting as it is to see foreigners putting up a show for your fans, it does nothing to help the development of the local talents. And some teams even have Filipino Americans playing as 'locals', while still having the additions of foreign players on the same team as well. Why not just have those Fil American count as the foreigners, so they won't take the space of locals? The Philippines ranks #117, I think you guys should get your act together first. Even North Korea ranks higher, has a NT and program, but no league........and that says a lot. lol Reply
