A few days ago, the announcement that appeared on the Instagram profile of the Cuban female Volleyball player Melissa Vargas caused quite a commotion in Turkey.

A few days ago, the fans of the Turkish side Fenerbahçe Opet were shocked to see a post that appeared on the Instagram profile of the player of their club Vargas. The announcement said that, for various and unspecified reasons, she greeted Fenerbahçe and moved to another Istanbul-based club, Beşiktaş.

Just a couple hours after that, Fenerbahçe issued a note in which they explained that the Instagram account of the 19-year-old opposite hitter was hacked and that the post was fake. The profile of Vargas’ has been deleted afterward.
