With this victory USA tied with Cuba at the top of all time list in gold medals with 4. USA was the team who dominated in attacks (43-27), blocks (11-5) and serving aces (4-2).
Lauren Paolini, Krista Vansant and Cursty Jackson were the top scorers for USA with 13, 11 and 10 points, respectively. Brayelin Martinez was the only Dominican player with double digits in the score charts with 12 points.
The MVP award went to young Krista Vansant!
