Both Hisamitsu and Nagaoka announced the beginning of a new collaboration. The Japanese Women’s volleyball star will return to the team from Kobe after a season which she spent in the jersey of Italian league winners Imoco Volley Conegliano. Actually, a 27-year-old outside hitter played only a half of the season as she picked up a knee injury in December 2018.

Hisamitsu will have the patience for Nagaoka as she will undergo a rehabilitation process during the summer before her body becomes ready for competitive efforts.

Before moving to Imoco, Nagaoka defended the colors of Hisamitsu for eight straight seasons, winning four national titles, six Emperor’s Cups and one Asian Club Championship with the club. She was named two-time Japanese Championship and one-time Asian Club Championship MVP.
