BRA W: Kasia Skowronska creates the first defeat for Minas!

1030 0

There are no more undefeated teams in the Brazilian women’s Superliga.

Minas have suffered the first defeat so far by losing to Barueri on the road 3-2 (25-22, 27-25, 19-25, 23-25, 15-11).

Barueri had a 2-0 lead but Minas have managed to make a comeback somehow and to tie the score. However, in the tie-break, Minas simply didn’t have enough strength to get back and to make a turnaround.

The Polish star Katarzyna Skowronska was the most dominant player in the home team, while on the other side Lana Conceicao had 23 points.

PHI W: Foton and Sta. Lucia open Superliga in a winning way

As exciting as it is to see foreigners putting up a show for your fans, it does nothing to help the development of the local talents. And some teams even have Filipino Americans playing as 'locals', while still having the additions of foreign players on the same team as well. Why not just have those Fil American count as the foreigners, so they won't take the space of locals? The Philippines ranks #117, I think you guys should get your act together first. Even North Korea ranks higher, has a NT and program, but no league........and that says a lot. lol Reply
