Looking at three matches played so far at the 2018/19 Brazilian men’s volleyball Superliga playoff-opening, EMS Taubaté Funvic had the most difficult job to take the lead in the series.

In Game 1 of the Superliga Cimed 2018-2019 playoff quarterfinals, third seed EMS Taubaté Funvic struggled to prevail against No.6 Vôlei Renata (better known under the name of Campinas) at home despite being two sets ahead of the rivals in the match – 3-2 (25-14, 25-17, 25-27, 21-25, 15-12). Leandro Vissotto top-scored for Taubaté with 21 points but Lucas Saatkamp probably had the key role in winning with five kill blocks and 87% excellent attack (18 points overall). Gabriel Vaccari scored 17 points for Renata.

The top seed SESI-SP confirmed the role of the favorites by beating No.8 Vôlei UM Itapetininga in straight sets, while SESC-RJ downed Fiat/Minas in the match full of errors on both sides (32 Sesc, 30 Minas) and with Wallace Souza notching 25 points and reaching 400  points milestone this season (416 pts.).

It is a pity, because Tandara is 100 times better than Ana Paula Borgo. Reply

Some of the players from the Portuguese national team during the match would get a hard blow from me. When he served Alex Ferreira and the ball was passing to Portugal, they did terrible things.

VNL 2019 M: Poletaev and Leal make admirable attack success rates, leading Russia and Brazil to wins in Pool 16

What about scarse reception of Leal? Took 6 aces suring the match.... What about services mistakes? So he made 11 points in attack but gave away directly 8!!! Great score, 2 positive..... Reply
